Pre / Post Treatment

To support a smooth, comfortable experience and reduce the risk of bruising: 

  • Hold blood‑thinning medications/supplements for 7 to 14 days when medically appropriate (Aspirin, Vitamin E, Ibuprofen, Ginkgo, St. John’s Wort, Aleve, Celebrex, Meloxicam). 
  • Avoid alcohol for 24 to 48 hours before treatment. 
  • Arrive well‑hydrated and have a light meal before your appointment. 
  • Let your provider know if you have a history of cold sores, you may need antiviral medication prior to lip filler. 

Follow these guidelines to ensure refined, long‑lasting results: 

  • Skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours. 
  • Avoid saunas, hot yoga, tanning, or hot tubs for 48 hours. 
  • Do not apply makeup for 12 to 24 hours to avoid risk of infection. 
  • Use cold compresses as needed for swelling. 
  • Sleep on your back with your head elevated the first night. 
  • Mild lumps or firmness may develop and typically soften over 1 to 2 weeks. 
  • If you have concerns after treatment, your provider is available to support you.
